Article 12 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child gives young people the right to have their voice heard and taken into account. How do we make this happen in our organisations? How can you structure this? How can we offer young people the opportunity to explore their skills and opinions?
This training will be run by Steve Hutson who has worked for MY Trust in its many incarnations for over 12 years and has been the Youth Participation officer at MYT for almost 8 of them. He has previously worked with Young Offenders, Young People with SEN and Looked After Children. Before joining MYT Steve had many other jobs including a face to face Benefits Adviser and an HM Customs and Excise Officer at Dover and Ramsgate Ports.
