Choices for your child in year 11

Year 11 is when your son/daughter will need to make a choice about what they want to do at the end of the school year.  Neither you nor your child is alone with these choices. Medway Youth Trust is available to offer information and advice to young people and their parents/carers.

Education after 16 doesn’t just mean staying at school full-time: your child can stay at school, go to college, or take up an apprenticeship or a part-time training course. They can earn money and learn new skills at the same time if they want to.

For more information on the options in Medway you can go to www.yourchoiceinmedway.org.uk where you will find information on course and other sources of help. For the rest of Kent see www.kentchoices4u.com.

For information about apprenticeships go to www.apprenticeships.org.uk.
