Finding an apprenticeship

The National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) in England and its website will provide you with more information and guide you through the steps for setting up an Apprenticeship.

Apprenticeships are available at Intermediate, Advanced and High (Degree) level and covers more than 170 industries and 1500 job roles.

Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to work with a real employer, earn a salary and gain a qualification whilst gaining valuable workplace skills and experience.


Traineeships are focused on giving young people who need extra support before they start an apprenticeship by the skills and experience through a training programme with work placements.  The benefits are that you will:

  • Be put in a better position to complete an apprenticeship
  • Opportunity to build you CV and get experience with local and nation employers
  • Improve your English and Maths to boost your chances of getting a job/apprenticeship.
