Youth Club Volunteers and Staff Training

Having well trained staff and volunteers with up to date knowledge is vital to ensuring that your club, group or organisation runs safely and effectively for the benefit of all concerned.

Our Training Programme forms a key part of our work to support volunteers and staff that work with children and young people in the youth groups across Kent and Medway. You can view all the face to face and online training we offer here: August -September Training Available

We aim to offer all of our face to face training at a venue and time that suits you.... all we need is 2 weeks notice and for there to be 5 or more attendees at the training so that we can be as cost effective as possible. Attendees do not all have to come from the same club or organisation and if there is training that you would like us to source that we have not advertised please get in contact to request it and we will do our best to facilitate it.

Sessions are facilitated by experts in their field to make sure that delegates are provided with the key information and skills they need to put training into action in the most positive and beneficial way.

Many of our courses take place during the evening or at weekends to make them more accessible for those working in the voluntary sector but we also offer weekday training for those who find this better for their needs.  We also send out links to online training opportunities we feel are relevant to the Youth Work sector in our affiliation updates. If you are not currently receiving our monthly affiliation update or feel there is a need for specific training that we don’t currently offer then please contact sheila.heffernan@themytrust.org with your details and / or suggestions.
