These further points are specific to young people that are supported by The Prince’s Trust. MY Trust delivers these programmes on behalf of Mid Kent College and will share your information with the college, the college is the data controller of this information. Please contact Mid Kent College for more information of what they do with your information.

The lawful basis for processing this information under GDPR has been identified as: 6 (1) (b) processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract

The MY Trust will hold personal information about you to support you through the programme and beyond. We also hold personal and sensitive information if we feel you are being harmed or are at risk of harm. This is so we can ensure you get the best possible help you need and we can check to make sure this help has been given. This information also means that our staff are expertly trained and are supported in supporting you.

When you sign up to Princes Trust we must ask for information to ensure we can offer you the best support and to fulfil our obligation to Mid Kent College. The information of yours that we will be processing is.

  • Address
  • Phone Numbers
  • Email Address
  • Gender
  • Ethnicity
  • Current qualifications and achievements
  • If you have any additional needs
  • Other agencies and support you may be receiving
  • Any information about you we may need to support you safely

During the programme you may give the following information that we will store.

  • Any assessments you may do
  • Details of conversations you may have with our staff
  • Action Plan
  • CVs
  • Your programme targets
  • Feedback from you and your tutor
  • Any offer of education or training you have for when the programme ends
  • Your attendance

After the programme we may contact you to find out if you are in education, employment or training.

This information will all be shared with Mid Kent College and Princes Trust except the details of conversations you have with our staff. In order for you to complete your qualification we must work with an assessment organisation called NOCN who we will share your name, date of birth, postcode, gender, ethnicity, if you have a learning difficulty or not, your employment status, if you’ve passed or failed and occasionally they may ask to see your work to make sure we are assessing you correctly.

We hold personal information about you electronically or on paper. This is held securely either on our Salesforce database or filed safely and securely so it is inaccessible by non MY Trust staff. This information is destroyed 6 academic years after the year the programme was delivered in or when the contract with MKC has ended.

Other than sharing your information with Mid Kent College, Princes Trust and NOCN, or if we think that you or anyone else is at risk, we would only share information about you with 3rd parties with your consent.
