Professionals TrustCareers Prospectus of Services Careers Advice and Guidance We offer a wide variety of Career Interventions to meet the needs of your students and organisation. The interviews are delivered by a fully qualified level 6 Careers Advisers who are registered with the CDI. The Careers Advice and Guidance we offer reflects the Career Strategy (Dec 17) whether that is on a 1:1 basis or within groups. Our services meets the requirements of Gatsby Benchmarks and in particular No. 8 for impartial personal guidance. The structure of the interview offers Impartial Information, Advice and Guidance to enable and empower young people to make informed decisions about their future. An Adviser encourages the student to have ownership of the interview to ensure responsibility and independence with their decision making. We encourage parents to be part of the 1:1 interview process to support them with their choices and for parents to develop their understanding of opportunities for further education or employment. Our Advisers are skilled in assessing the needs of students to ensure all students get the most from the interaction and will receive information relevant to their age and aspirations. Group Guidance sessions can be delivered for between 6-30 students. We will work with the Careers Lead in the school to ensure that the Group Guidance links with the organisation’s career policy and delivery plan. Group delivery can be beneficial to learning, with students working with and from each other sharing views and ideas. All of our group work can be delivered as a stand-alone group work or as part of a package. MY Trust are able to support organisations with the planning and choice of sessions to ensure best learning for the student and best value for money for the organisation. All our listed sessions can be adapted to meet the needs of the student. The Trust has experienced Advisers with the skills required to facilitate effective and appropriate group sessions for those students that need a differentiated approach which may include those students with Special Educational Needs and/or Gifted and Talented.
