DBS Check Services

The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) was formed in December 2012 following a merger of the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).  The primary role of the DBS is to enable safe recruitment and prevent unsuitable people working with vulnerable groups including children and young people.

Update- September 2019

Regrettably we are having to stop providing any services related to DBS on behalf of other organisations.  As from 10am Monday 30th September, we will no longer accept new requests in respect of DBS.

We will complete the DBS process for all forms currently in progress and for all forms sent to us before 10am 30th September and in this period our standard charges will remain the same.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Please see the links below for further assistance on how to do DBS checks online.

Young Kent - Youth Support Pack

MY Trust sadly no longer deliver the Young Kent Affiliation Service.  This service provided support to youth clubs across Kent and Medway but due to lack of funding stopped running the service in April 2019.

If you are thinking about setting up a club or are an existing club that needs some advice you may be able to find some useful information in our club pack.  We will no longer be updating this pack, so anything related to legal requirements should be double checked.

Please note all youth clubs can become members of UKYouth for no charge. UK Youth is a national umbrella organisation providing support to its network of youth clubs and organisations.

Thank you.
