We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and confident MYCareer Coordinator to join our wider MY Trust team based in East Sussex. This post is critical to achieving outcomes for young people and communities in East Sussex in line with our Theory of Change.

Since the change of legislation in 2012 and the Career Strategy December 2017, schools and academies are required to source impartial information, advice and guidance (IAG) to assist their students of future pathway choices. MY Trust is a trusted organisation that has been providing paid-for services to schools and academies for over 10 years. The environment for this work and for schools themselves has changed significantly in that time and the MYCareer Co-ordinator will be passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to make informed decisions, raise aspirations and make positive progress to further learning or work.

As the MYCareer Co-ordinator, you will co-ordinate and deliver 1:1 impartial personal guidance sessions and group activities to young people with SEND across ten schools in East Sussex.  The postholder is expected to deliver the required contract at a high quality and effective standard, in line with contract milestones and performance measures. The Co-ordinator report to the Head of Trust Careers and Enterprise.

Due to the nature of the work involved the MYCareer Co-ordinator post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
