The MY Trust is committed to protecting your privacy when you use our services. Your MY Trust adviser, school or college should have made you aware of our organisational Privacy Notice, a copy can be found on our website www.themytrust.org/privacy-policy, but these points are specific to young people that are supported by UPS Road Code, Generation Code and Money for Life. We deliver these programmes on behalf of UK Youth.

The lawful basis for processing this information under GDPR has been identified as: 6 (1) (a) You the data subject [or a person authorised to give consent for you] has given consent to the processing of your data for this purpose.

We will ask for the following information about you on behalf of UK Youth:

  • Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Address inc postcode
  • If you have any additional needs or support needs

You may also give us this additional information:

  • Mobile Number
  • Details of conversations you may have with our staff

The MY Trust will use this information to help us to give you the best support as possible at the time of your programme or if you need more support following the programme. UK Youth also ask us to collect and share this information with them for the purpose of monitoring engagement, reach and impact of the programme. The MY Trust will store this information about you for one full academic year after the year you completed the programme. Therefore, from 31st August 2019 until 31st August 2020. On 1st September 2020 we will anonymise your information so we cannot tell it is about you but we can still use it to measure the work we have done. If you give us a mobile number, this would only be used once in the year after the programme to see if the support we gave was useful. This means we can learn and improve.

This information may be collected electronically or on paper but will be input onto our MY Trust database within a week of receiving. All paper and electronic documents will then be destroyed, so everything is kept securely in one place. The information that is shared with UK Youth is shared securely through GDPR compliant systems.

MY Trust will not share this data with any other third party without additional consent, unless requested by a court order or if any of our staff feel that you or someone you discuss is in any risk of harm.
